In 1958, the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen commissioned Arne Jacobsen to design chairs for its lounges and reception area. The result is the Swan Chair, model 3320, the Drop, and the Egg Char. Jacobsen created the original Swan Chair in his own garage, and Swan Chairs have been in production at Fritz Hansen ever since.
This chair comes with original cognac coloured leather upholstery. It is made by Fritz Hansen with maker's label. Literature: Noritsugu Oda, Danish Chairs p.62 and C. Thau & K. Vindum. 'Arne Jacobsen'p. 469.
Very good condition. Patina and wear consistent with age and use. Some minor cracks on both armrests.
